They don't have to be cookie cutter builds and it's fine if they shine late-game instead of early. I'm trying to get back into GD with DAIL, and I have fun trying out different builds but I am having a hard time finding fun or synergizing builds. So reflect makes your pet damage also reflect back onto you personally? That sounds horrifying against encounters where that appears often.
I only played GD unmodded casually like two years back, so I don't know mechanics very well. When you install DAIL, you will be given the option of which version of DAIL you want to install: "NG" is the easiest of them all (Normal Game mob difficulty).
